Bill Wise

Call it a second chance at getting to do what he loves.  A Fayetteville native, Bill Wise’s love for music started at a very young age when his family would take him to the Memorial Building in Fayetteville for Charlie McCoy’s 4th of July concerts. Ronnie Milsap, The Statler Brothers and Jerry Reed are a few of the names that stick out.

His love of music spans many different genres, but Country music was what he grew up on as a kid in the 80’s.To this day, when Bill hears Ronnie Milsap’s “Smokey Mountain Rain” it takes him right back to 1981 hearing it on his Dad’s white RCA radio on top of the tool cabinet in the garage.

In 1991, fresh out of Broadcasting school he got his first radio job during an internship at WTNJ! A job that lasted the next 18 years! Country…Rock…Oldies and Sports, it really was a dream come true. But Bill’s family was growing during that time which led to other ventures over the next several years.

Then one day Bill gets an unexpected phone call from a dear friend and co-worker Keith Thompson asking if he still has the bug for radio? That was an easy one to answer for Bill.

So begins Chapter 2 here on Lake Country 95.7.  Bill is looking forward to reconnecting to where it all started…Country music!
